Family-Operated Captive Bred Ball Pythons
Receiving Your New Ball Python
Once the outside has been observed, the box should be carefully cut open. Before removing the snake, take a look at the inside. The inside of a reptile shipping box will contain
Styrofoam panels in each side- left, right, front, back, top, and bottom. Remove the object containing the snake, and make sure it is not damaged. Photograph any damage, if needed.
Take many photos and videos in good lighting that show the problem very clearly. Contact Dickson Royals within the agreed upon time, according to Guarantee and Refund Policy.
Dickson Royals recommends unpacking your new ball python, making sure he/she is healthy and unharmed, then putting him/her into a prepared environment that meets all of their needs (refer to Habitat/Husbandry Tips). This should be somewhere nice and quiet so they can calm down and stop being stressed.
Opening the box and seeing your ball python for the first time is like being a kid on Christmas morning. You will be tempted to hold you new baby and show him/her off, but keep in mind that this is a very stressful time for them. After he/she gets acclimated to their new home, you will have plenty time to hold and show him/her off to everyone. Don’t be tempted to check in on your new ball python for at least 2-3 hours. This will give them time to check out their new environment and relax.
